Content ID Royalties
Content ID royalties are paid when your music is used in other people's videos on YouTube — its fingerprinting system finds the use and monetizes it for you.
YouTube Content ID scans uploads for your recording and, when it matches, places a claim and routes the ad revenue from that video to you — even when someone else posted it. This is separate from your own YouTube/YouTube Music plays.
Collecting it depends on your recordings being registered with the fingerprinting system. Notes registers your catalog so user-generated uses are matched and monetized.
